Governor Mike Huckabee has set a November 28 execution date for a man convicted of killing an 18-year-old Malvern woman. The governor noted there is no court order pending that would stop the execution of Eric Randall Nance from going forward.

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Huckabee has set an
execution date for Eric Randall Nance.

Nance is to die by lethal injection on November 18.

Nance was convicted of capital murder and attempted
rape in the 1993 death of 18-year-old Julie Heath of
Malvern. She was last seen on October 11 of that year
and her car was discovered along U.S. 270. A hunter
found her body on October 18 and authorities said she
had been dead about a week. Her throat had been
slashed with a box cutter.

Nance was arrested two days later. He was 33 at the
time.
