Whilst I'm aware of the short notice and time frame to work with, could you please help with Gregory Wright.

Greg was convicted of murder in the 1997 stabbing death of Donna Duncan Vick in Desoto, TX. During his time on Polunsky's death row, Greg has proved to be a model prisoner and undergone study and been awarded a diploma as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal.

Greg was given an execution date of September 9th 2008 which was stayed until October 30th 2008 pending further DNA testing. On October 28th the Texas criminal court of appeals denied any relief as did the 5th circuit federal court on account of the Law of Parties statute. Greg was not tried or convicted under the law of parties.

Gregory Wright's co-defendant, John Wade Adams, has signed an affidavit confessing himself as the sole person responsible for the death of Miss. Vick.

If Texas carry on with the execution of Gregory Wright, then they will be commiting the act of murder on an innocent man.

Please help Texas avoid this grave mistake.

Please urge everyone to call:

If you are unsure what to say please feel free to use and/or adapt the following:

I’m calling to voice my concern regarding the grave mistake Texas will make if they execute Gregory Wright # 999253.

Although DNA evidence has not proved Adams to be the culpable party, it has proved that evidence used in trial carried no DNA match to Gregory Wright.

A signed affidavit from Gregory Wright’s co-defendant places himself as the sole person involved in the murder of Miss Vick and proves Gregory Wrights innocence.

The state of Texas stayed Gregory Wright’s execution for September 9th because there WAS reasonable doubt. Further DNA testing has strengthened Gregory Wright’s innocence claim which brings more reasonable doubt.

Gregory Wright was not charged under the Texas law of parties, therefore I urge you to grant clemency to an innocent man and not take the life of one.
